Professional, modular photohide system

Buteo Photo Gear launches a new, professional, modular photohide system where you, as a wildlife photographer, have several choices to suit your own taste and use.

What you as a photographer can choose:

• On which sides of the hide do you want photo openings to be realised?
• How many photo openings do you want to be realised per side (single, double, high, low?)
• Do you want a sleeping area in your tent or not?
• Do you want a waterproof groundsheet?
• Special requests? Just ask.

Fitted specifications:

• Camouflage colour: green/brown.
• Size145x145 cm. (wxd), fitted with a pointed roof, 170 cm. at it’s highest point.
• Tent canvas waterproof coated, Ribstop polyester, 240 gr/m2.
• Tent poles aluminium: 25 mm. thickness (roof poles 18 mm.), 1.5 mm. wall thickness.
• Tent fabric runs slightly over the ground for perfect water drainage.
• Peepholes located above all photo openings.
• Peepholes equipped with a fixed, 'clearview' insect screen. Mammals and birds cannot see you.
• Waterproof zip opening.
• No Velcro used but wood string (because of noise)

So this time, no hide like our well-known pop-up hides that can be quickly set up and folded down. Instead, this new, professional hide is very suitable to be left up for a longer period of time. For example, an entire season at a lek for Grouse, at a foraging spot of birds of prey, rutting season for Deer, a breeding season of Hoopoe, Bee-eaters or any other species.

The photohide is waterproof and can be supplied with a groundsheet.
It has the option of sleeping in it if you wish, in which case an extension is provided on one of the sides. This extension is also useful if you want to be able to lie stretched out for low-level photography.

The hide is equipped with sturdy aluminium poles that are plugged together when erected. The ribstop canvas is waterproof, even at the peepholes and photo openings (which are fitted with a Snoot). The roof is pointed, 170 cm. at it’s highest point, allowing water and snow to slide off easily.

The protruding 'wings' at the bottom can be pegged down separately and/or weighted down with stones, ground or other materials. The advantage of these 'wings' is that rain or melt water is drained to the outside, so it does not run into the tent.
