Bjørn Erik Hellang (Norway)

I'm Bjørn Erik Hellang, a wildlifephotographer from the South coast of Norway.
Living on the peninsula called Lista, and getting easy access to the last stop / first resting place for migrating birds in Norway.

In the past I started taking frontlit pictures, nowadays I'm more into backlit lighting , extreme weather and moods.
I also like doing high-key, low key, experimenting with artificial light and even double exposures. To learn more and grow as a photographer, I love working with creative people.

I always had a deep love for birds since childhood days, photographing mainly birds, and my mission is sharing the beauty of the birds surrounding us.

Photohides and camouflage:

I'm a true believer in camouflage and hiding and taking pictures with the birds welfare being a priority.
Mainly I use secondhand Canon eqipment.  Admittingly due to expences, but quality glass never runs out of fashion.

In Norway I won some competitions in the past, and current I won the Wildlife photographer of the year 2022.
